The picture does not do it justice. It is more elegant then the picture portrays. I question would it provide enough light in that it uses the small based bulbs, but the light is more than adequate. The globe is more like a piece of art work. Actually the whole fixture is like a piece of art that you hang and light up the room. If you want a light that everyone will comment on this is the light for you. Everyone that has seen the light has rave over it.
