While this is a very attractive fan and has good air flow, for a bedroom installation the downside is that it is not particularly quiet. The first fan we received had a clicking sound that would not go away so Euro Lighting promptly provided us with a replacement. The second fan does not click, but it makes a dull whirring noise - fairly low but enough to be noticeable in a quiet bedroom overnight. My prior, less expensive (but less attractive) Hunter Douglas fans were, as they advertised, whisper quiet. All in all, this is a disappointment for an item this expensive.

About Extension Poles

For safety reasons, fan blades must be a minimum of 7' above the floor. Hang the fan blades 8' or 9' above the floor for the most efficient air flow. All Casa Optima ceiling fans come with a standard pole for use with 8-foot ceilings.
