The photos of this product do NOT do it justice. It is absolutley stunning. Shortening the rod was nightmare. I should have hired an electrician. Factory sealed connections had to be broken in order to remove pieces of the rod. Then all the connections had to be re-made. There are a lot of wires. Next day we hung it. Went up on the old box very easily. Then came inserting 27 timy bulbs, that can not be touched by human hands and then the fragile galss stars. Un-nerving in the beginning, but gets easier. The end result is jusst breathtaking. We have had nothing but compliments. Now I need to find a dimmer I can use with halogen transformers.

This chandelier is amazing looking and was not that hard to wire and hang the mounting cage a the top bolted easy the only I would mention is that is uses halogen bulbs that was not be touched by your fingers so you have to sue the sleeves for 27 little bulbs and then you fit the hand blown glass stars over them and snap them on at first you are very hesitant but as they go on confidence builds and in a hour or so you are done. I had my husband install a dimmer be cause the light the halogen produce is 270 watts and with the dimmer it is fantastic My friends thought it totally changed the room
