With Turkey day only two days away, you may have spent all your time and energy on the menu and forgotten about the other half of the meal: Thanksgiving table decorations.
Fear not, host or hostess. A stunning table is simple. Remember what you learned in school: this is a celebration of what we have, not what we don't have. So take a look around. Plants in the garden? Leaves? Branches? Even desert flora works.
Pumpkins are a must for the holiday. For an extra modern look, avoid colored squash and go for a neutral white or painted metallic pumpkin instead.
Don't have a stunning vase for the center of the table. Mix and match. A line-up of mismatched vases, milk bottles and mason jars can be absolutely beautiful, as pictured both below and at the top of this post.
Need a few new decorative elements? Start with a cluster of Edison bulbs or other contemporary island pendant light styles. Add a mix of rustic and modern decor and you're set for the holiday table and all year round.
Europa 8 Light Adjustable Bronze Swag Chandelier, Nambe Swoop Cheese Board with Knife, Yellow Set of 4 Stacking Chairs, Dark Smoke Glass Bottle Vase, Titus Rusty Elm Zuo Dining Table, Glacier Glass White Resin Small Vase
Remember however, you don't need to break the bank on new holiday decor. Thanksgiving is about giving out thanks, not your entire paycheck.

Someone asked me my favorite color today and for the first time in years I didn't answer red. I said white instead, and didn't realize it was true until the words were already out of my mouth. I style my home with my white color crush more than any other color.
The reason? White can take on many styles and doesn't compete, often times you don't realize what's so interesting about a white object until you take a closer look. And I love that!
This Robert Abbey Havana Modern Nickel with White Chandelier is the definition of retro-chic with a modern twist. The perforated metal cocktail shaker shaped lights are a great example of what you find when you look a little closer!
White and metal mix so well together, so clean and crisp! This Modern White Twitter Bird Accent Lamp combines modern lines with nature with a result that's both contemporary and whimsical. (Also an affordable gift for your favorite social media addict!)
The white ceramic base of the Cosgrove Modern Table Lamp has so much depth and texture, it almost looks like it belongs in the sea with the anemones. Such a great sculpted piece to add dimension to any room.
I love a good wall mirror but find it difficult to find anything in white that doesn't look too pristine. By adding white leather with an adjustable strap, this Jamie Young Round Wall Mirror has accomplished the perfect balance of a piece that's a little rugged and loved.
The Contemporary Chelsea Stitched Cream Bonded Leather Bench has a great mid-century look and great lines. Look a little closer at the leather though and you'll pick up on the beautifully subtle patter that makes this piece a champion.
White has a lovely way of showing highlights and lowlights, and I can't think of a better example than this White Billowing Cloud Possini Euro Pendant Chandelier. Total glamour, diffused light, and an organic modern cloud design are sure to make it the showstopper in any room.
Looking for industrial interior design style inspiration? Melrose Market in Seattle's uber-hip Capitol Hill neighborhood is a collection of artisanal market stands and restaurants in a triangular block of storefronts once occupied by two auto shops.
Despite the raw, rusted surroundings, this renovated commercial space is as warm and inviting as any residential living room could ever hope to be, and it's proof positive that industrial, loft-like decor can be both cutting-edge and timeless at the same time.
Hanging warehouse pendant lighting and cozy outdoor barn light fixtures are the de facto lighting choice throughout the place, both outdoors and indoors.
Anchored by the market, an arcade-like space that runs through the middle of it all, the development is frequented by Seattle's digital creative class. A simple Google image search of "Melrose Market" is telling, turning up countless results from personal blogs and photography sites.
Raw and rust-finishes are present throughout. Seating and furnishings are comfortable and range from well-loved plant stands to chic modern bar stools, albeit with rustic or natural finishes. The result of all these industrial accents is a space that instantly has a sense of provenance to it. And it doesn't take much to get the same effect in a room at home:
Carnegie Abbott Cigar Leather Club Chair, Olde Bronze Kichler Mini Pendant Light, Zuo Marius Gunmetal Modern Counter Stools, Barn Wall Urban Metal Outdoor Wall Sconce
The best thing about industrial style? The well-worn look gets better with age, making it easy to incorporate hand-me-downs, thrift store finds, even curbside discoveries. Hey, it's not where you find your home furnishings...it's what you do with them that counts.

I am head over heels in love with this bright and cheery modern home style. It’s one of those spaces where everything in it seems to have been made to be in that room. I really like the different colors and the simple lines. It has a modern feel but also a fun and almost kitschy feel about it too. I love it!
If you're thinking some of the color on the walls might be a bit bold, don't worry there are other ways to incorporate the same colors into your own home without committing to painting a whole room or ceiling! For example, these few items would be pretty perfect for helping to recreate such a fun and colorful space in your home.
1. Possini Euro Design White Flower Acrylic Pendant Chandelier 2. Big Wave Lime Green Steel Outdoor Folding Table 3. Wendover Modern White 34-Inch-H Zuo Dining Chair 4. Turquoise Glass Contemporary 8-Inch-H Bowl Vase
Instead of painting the walls, switch that option out for a fun dining table for a more unique and colorful one! That way you get the same fun effect but it’s not as permanent. This green table would be perfect for doing just that! I love that it is round too. Makes it even more fun!
The light fixture is what really brings the whole room together. It’s the super fun element and it adds quite a bit of texture to the room. You really can’t go wrong with a fun white pendant light.
The vase helps to bring in another fun color while also adding some shape to the space. Wouldn’t it look gorgeous with a little bouquet of yellow or pink flowers? I think so!
And these chairs are white with clean lines, similar to the wood chairs in our inspiration image, just a little more modern. Which is awesome in my book!

One trend that's been undeniably hot in both fashion and interiors over the last few years is the mod style. Anything and everything mid-century -- especially if it has a mod twist is right on trend.

It's no surprise, really, because this clean, modern, slightly funky approach to style lends itself well to so many different types of spaces -- and accessory lines.
You've probably seen one of the most common ways to incorporate mod style into the home... the infamous sputnik chandelier!
