With daylight savings now in effect and the first day of spring just around the corner we thought it would be fitting to feature some of the world's greatest infinity pools and landscape architecture.
Starting our tour stateside is a private residence in Napa Valley, California. Some of the most breath taking vistas overlooking the Napa Valley mountains can be seen from the pool edge pictured above.

Next we’re going to be making two stops in Europe. First off is the French Riviera and Hotel du Cap. The Hotel du Cap opened in 1889 and the hotel pool, cut into the edge of a cliff, was built in 1914. In 2011 the hotel underwent a $67 million renovation, which included the new infinity pool pictured above.

The Hotel du Cap sits on 22 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and in the evening the outdoor lighting showcases the stunning beauty of these tropical gardens. This hotel is a favorite hideout for celebrities and royalty alike.

Our second hotel in Europe is located on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, a very popular tourist destination during the summer months. The Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel was an abandoned 17th century monastery that has been loving bought back to life by its South Carolinian owner. The spectacular infinity pool overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea and is dramatically perched on the cliffs edge.

Up Next is the continent of Asia. The Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore is home to this 492 foot long infinity edge pool located on the 57th floor. The hotel opened in 2010 at a cost of $5.8 billion, making it the most expensive stand-alone mixed use resort to date. Modern light fixtures with innovative styling can be found throughout the sky deck, bringing it to life at nighttime.

Finally our tour ends on the Serengeti plains of Africa in northern Tanzania at the Singita Sasakwa Lodge. With endless views over the Serengeti plains below this infinity pool would be our ultimate destination.
Which pool was your favorite? Who knows one day perhaps you’ll be cooling off in one of these stunning architectural marvels.
